If you read the about us page, you will come across the story about how I got introduced to Reiki Energy Healing in 2012. Life has never been the same and though most of my life I have felt that there is something more than what we can see and there is much more for science to discover, it took me long time to accept my own unconventionality.
The basis of Reiki Healing is the belief that there exists an energy in the universe called ‘Chi/Qi’ or Prana ( Pranic Healing ). This energy can be collected, transmuted and transfered with Intention. Reiki practitioners channel universal life force energy through their hands to promote healing and balance within the recipient.
Gentle Touch: The practitioner gently places their hands on or slightly above different areas of the body. Distance Reiki can also be given where there is no direct contact between the practiontioner and therecipent. They can be on opposite ends of the world by the energy flow will take place.
Energy Flow: It's believed that this facilitates the flow of Reiki energy, which is thought to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support the body's natural healing processes. This energy can shift reality when applied with intention.
Receiving Reiki : It is not uncommon for the receiver–subject and\or the Reiki adept to experience slightly different sensations.
For example the receiver–subject may experience cold at the position of the adept's hands whilst the adept may feel intense heat. Sometimes the receiver–subject may experience nothing physically and may think that Reiki isnot working.
Reiki energy often works at a very subtle level and may have profound results, which become apparent in the following days or weeks. The energy will travel to wherever it is needed the most and works at all levels – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and psychic.
Be aware of the sensations of energy you can feel. These sensations can be very subtle but with practice you will find that they are undeniable.
· Complementary Therapy: Reiki is considered a complementary therapy, meaning it's used alongside conventional medical treatments, not as a replacement.
· Qualified Practitioners: It's essential to choose a qualified and experienced Reiki practitioner.
· Personal Experience: The effects of Reiki can vary from person to person. A person’s permission is needed before Reiki can be sent to them. For children below 12 the parents can take the decision whether their kids need Reiki or not.
Reiki can be taken to reduce stress and relax. Almost like going to a spa but you are getting cleansed energetically. Reiki can also be taken when going through serious medical issues as a complementary therapy.
Reiki is also used for mental health and clearing limiting beliefs in your mind.
The number of sessions needed depends on the purpose Reiki is being used for and also depends on how well the recepient receives energy.
Most people feel very relaxed after a Reiki Session, as if they had a long deep sleep. But some people may have a lot of dormant issues come up in their active experience and might feel overwhelmed. The session should continue till the recipient feels better and the negative energy is washed out.
Reiki can sometimes initiate a detoxification process within the body. This isn't always experienced, but when it occurs, it's a sign that the body is releasing built-up toxins and restoring balance.
Here are some potential detox systems that might be observed after a Reiki session:
· Increased Urination: Reiki may stimulate the kidneys and liver, leading to increased urination as the body eliminates toxins through the urinary system.
· Changes in Bowel Movements: Some individuals may experience shifts in bowel movements, such as increased frequency or changes in consistency, as the body releases toxins through the digestive system.
· Emotional Release: Reiki can bring up suppressed emotions or memories. This emotional release can manifest as feelings of sadness, anger, fear, or even joy.
· Physical Sensations: Some people may experience physical sensations such as headaches, fatigue, muscle aches, or dizziness. These can be temporary and may subside within a few days.
· Increased Sweating: Sweating can be a natural detoxification process, and Reiki may enhance the body's ability to release toxins through the skin.
